--- Tips for Visiting a Working Farm ---

Real Working Farm Critters
You'll be driving down a country lane to our real working farm in rural Central Georgia! Remember that the "country" is inhabited by many little critters that keep our ecosystem in balance. Please be tolerant of them, as Kackleberry Farm is their home also.

Farm Conditions

Check the weather here at the farm before you come out, and don't forget that ours may be different from the conditions where you are coming from. Be prepared —galoshes, suntan lotion, comfy shoes, umbrella, sunglasses, funny hats, etc. We always put notes in the blog about special conditions at the farm!

Dark outside

It gets kinda dark out here in the woods (and in the corn maze) after the sun goes down! Wow! Spooky! If you are coming to the farm after sunset, please remember to bring a flashlight. If you forget, we have flashlights to rent for the evening.

Some Farm Policies

A word from the chickens ...
Bad words hurt our ears (yes, we have ears under the feathers!), so we don't want to hear them at Kackleberry Farm. If you use bad words, you'll be asked to either clean out all of our chicken coops, or go home.

Moonshine and cigars ...
Well, we all know that moonshine (or any alcoholic spirits) is bad for chickens. And chickens do not smoke cigars or cigarettes. So, in deference to them, we do not allow any alcoholic beverages or tobacco products at the farm.

Bringing food to the farm ...
Large groups who reserve a tent are allowed to bring their own food but for all others we have concessions which offer a varied menu from which to choose. Whether it's eats or drink, we are sure to have something to satisfy the most finicky appetite.
